For companion slant memorials, the most common and standard size is 36” L x 10” W x 16” H. Companion memorials can range in size more broadly than individual memorials and lend themselves to creative use of the burial space.

Slant memorials are often more economical than upright memorials as they do not require a base; slants are most commonly comprised of a slant mounted directly to a foundation. Slant markers start around $2,100.

An upright stands tall on a base and gives the most room for lettering and artwork. A slant sits lower with an angled face — a cleaner, more understated look that's still easy to read standing up. Many cemeteries that restrict upright height still allow slants.
